Description
Cartalax™ is a synthetic tripeptide composed of alanine, glutamic acid, and aspartic acid (Ala-Glu-Asp; AED). It belongs to the broader family of short peptide bioregulators associated with the Khavinson peptide research tradition, where small peptides have been investigated for their potential influence on cellular and tissue-specific biology.
Cartalax™ is of particular research interest in connective-tissue and cellular-aging biology, including fibroblast activity, extracellular-matrix regulation, collagen-related processes, and cellular responses associated with tissue maintenance and remodeling.
Research has also explored its potential relevance to cartilage and connective-tissue biology, making Cartalax™ an area of interest for studies involving joints, tendons, ligaments, skin structure, and age-associated changes in tissue integrity.
As a three-amino-acid peptide, Cartalax™ represents an especially compact model for investigating short-peptide signaling and cellular regulation. Proposed mechanisms include interactions with intracellular regulatory processes and gene-expression pathways; however, claims regarding direct nuclear entry or specific gene-modulating effects should be considered hypotheses from the peptide-bioregulator literature rather than established mechanisms.
Research Areas
- Fibroblast and connective-tissue biology
- Extracellular-matrix regulation
- Collagen and tissue-remodeling pathways
- Cartilage and joint biology
- Tendon and ligament research
- Skin structure and elasticity
- Cellular aging and senescence-associated pathways
- Short-peptide cellular signaling
At Kinetus Biolabs, Cartalax™ is positioned as an investigational short peptide for researchers studying the relationship between peptide signalling, connective-tissue maintenance, extracellular-matrix biology, and cellular aging.
